Vultee BT-13 Valliant

[BACK]

This design was the most populous basic trainer produced in the US during WW2 with over 11,000 a/c being built. Flown by both the USAAC and Navy the a/c was so rapidly produced that it had to be modified (BT-15) to accept Wright R975-11 engines because of a shortage of Pratt & Whitney engines created by the rapidity at which the airframes were built.
