Skunk Works : A Personal Memoir of My Years at Lockheed, by Ben R. Rich, Leo Janos (Paperback, 1996)
Booklist , 09/01/94: The U-2, the stealth fighter, and the Blackbird are all products of Lockheed, or, more specifically, the company's Skunk Works--probably the first example of corporate TQM in the U.S. Rich, the second executive to head this highly classified aerospace division, now recounts tales of his predecessor, Kelly Johnson, including employees' eccentricities and the perils and pleasures of working for the U.S. military establishment. Even for those not fascinated with aerospace, the building of these planes is intriguing as he details the secret missions and machinations of the CIA, Operation Desert Storm, and the like. Written in a down-home style and interspersed with "other voices" ranging from test pilots to Carter's national security adviser Zbigniew Brzezinski.  Copyright© 1994, American Library Association. Saab

SAAB Aircraft Since 1937, by Hans G. Andersson (Hardcover, 199 pages, 1997)
Card catalog description:   Although Hans G Andersson has chosen the title Saab Aircraft since 1937 for this work, he has in fact traced the entire history of the Swedish aircraft industry from its beginnings in 1913/1914 and its licence manufacture of French and German aircraft. In spite of the existence of various organisations during the 1920s and 1930s, it was the establishment of Saab in 1937 which laid the solid foundation for a Swedish industry capable of producing world-standard aeroplanes which in some cases were in advance of those designed elsewhere. Hans Andersson covers the development of all these products in the usual Putnam style. Carl G Ahremark has prepared the high quality drawings, including some projects, and a particular feature of the book is a stunning collection of over 280 photographs of the excellent standard to be expected from Sweden.
Book includes chapters on The Swedish Aircraft Industry - an Historical Survey, Saab 17, Saab 18, Saab 21, Saab 21R, Saab 90 Scandia, Saab 91 Safir (Sapphire), Saab 29, Saab 32 Lansen (The Lance), Saab 35 Draken (The Dragon), Saab 105, Saab 37 Viggen (The Thunderbolt), Saab MFI-15/17 Safari/Supporter, Saab 340, JAS 39 Gripen (The Griffen),  and Saab 2000.
